The past year has been incredibly difficult
for our entire family, but we would
not be where we are today without the
love and support of so many friends,
teachers, family, customers and community
members – we really want to send
out a heartfelt thank you to EVERYONE
who has offered prayers, encouragement,
kind thoughts, and time, in order to
help our family.
In the early days after the accident
everyone in the community showed their
support by brining food, offering transportation
to the hospital in Halifax, and just
by asking about Charbel and sharing
their stories about him in the store.
We would like to thank every one of
our customers and members of the community
who have shown such caring and understanding
for our family since the beginning of
this tragedy. From making us thanksgiving
dinner, to taking us to the hospital,
to offering to work in the store, you
made our lives easier and this difficult
situation much easier to deal with.
Thank you all!
We would also like to thank all the
doctors and nurses at the Hants Community
Hospital for making Charbel’s
daily life as comfortable as possible
and for providing him with such wonderful
care. We would also like to say a special
thank you to the priests and pastors
in the community for holding special
prayers for Charbel at their churches,
and for coming to visit him in the hospital.
For all those that continue to hold
prayer groups for Charbel’s recovery
– please continue these prayers,
we really believe that they will be
answered some day.
Thank you to the teachers, staff, and
students at Kings-Edgehill School for
their support in the early days of the
accident, and for continuing to come
and visit Charbel at home and in the
hospital. Charbel really enjoys watching
the video that Mrs. Zimmer and the staff
and students at Kings made for Charb
– he loves watching the rugby
boys play!
Finally, we would like to thank everyone
in our family for their support and
prayers for Charbel’s recovery.
Thanks to his aunt Rita for coming to
NS right after the accident. Thank you
to his uncles and cousins from France
for spending the summer with us here
and keeping Charbel entertained. Teta
and Jedo, Charbel loves you so much
and your presence makes everything a
lot easier! A HUGE thank you to Charbel’s
aunt Layla for being like a second mother
to Charbel and spending so much time
with him at the hospital when Norma
had to be home with the rest of the
family. To all our family members (from
Canada, to California, to France and
Lebanon) that have continued to pray
for Charbel’s recovery, we truly
believe that our prayers will be answered.
We really appreciate all your love,
energy and prayers – keep hoping
and asking for a miracle!
To everyone that works with Charbel
on a daily and weekly basis, volunteering
their time, energy, and expertise to
find new ways to stimulate, relax and
encourage him – our family is
very grateful to have friends like you
that are so dedicated to our son’s
recovery. It means the world to us to
know that Charbel has such wonderful
individuals helping him toward recovery.
A lot of Thank you’s! But we
are really at a loss to express our
feelings to everyone that has been supporting
us through this tragedy – we feel
very blessed to have you all in our
lives.
