Announcement
So that we can get
information out to Charbel's friends
faster, we have created a blog at
Charbel's
Blog.
We will be adding more information
to the website as it becomes available,
but the blog will provide the latest
and most current information available.
On
September 27, 2006
it will be exactly one year since Charbel
was in a car accident and suffered severe
traumatic brain injury.
This website chronicles some of the
events of the past year and sheds light
on who Charbel was before the accident.
The last year has been so challenging
and hectic for everyone involved that
we never had a chance (or the mind frame)
to sit down and write about Charbel’s
accident or his progress. We are taking
the time to do that now so that Charbel’s
friends, teachers, and all those who
are interested, can read about our struggle
over the past year - and so that we
can keep everyone informed on Charbel’s
slow, but steady progress. We are hoping
to update the website with progress
reports and other news at least once
a month.
To everyone that knows him; Charbel
Rouhana is independent, dedicated and
driven individual. Whatever Charbel
puts his mind to, he can accomplish
against all odds. Charbel is 20 years
old, from Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada.
He is very sweet, loving and caring
young man and the entire town speaks
highly of him. He is an athlete who
excelled in both wrestling and rugby.
His dream is to become a professional
rugby player. In fact, he was taking
it easy last year to stay injury free
before pursuing his dream starting the
following year.
Although the progress has been slow,
Charbel continues to fight with all
his strength. He’s known to be
a great fighter and “Maximus”
is his nickname. We believe Charbel
will recover, despite what doctors say.
With God’s help, his will to fight,
and his family’s and friends’
love and support, he will regain full
consciousness someday. We ask everyone
who has been praying for a miraculous
recovery for Charbel to continue to
do so - he needs all your prayers and
kind thoughts to help him through this
challenging time.
